*** COMMUNICATION WITH A la Carte Paperie ***
Our designer/client communication is exclusively via email, with assists all parties to keep track of correspondence.
We will not take design instructions or changes via telephone.
All work requests must be in clear, concise writing, via email or via our order form. This means that the Client and A la Carte Paperie can look back over emails for clarification if needed.
Client revisions should be, to avoid any confusion, in a single document or email (if possible), in a legible, easy to understand manner. Changes sent through in different emails in a disorganized or hard to understand manner will result in confusion on both sides and may add additional design fees.

Cards have a minimum order of 25 /card type
*** SAMPLES ***
Our cards are printed on premium papers that give your images archival quality and vibrant colors.
Printed with the highest quality digital printing press available. This means that you get the best print quality for graphics, text, and photographs.

*** COLORS ***
Colors may vary between monitors and printers. Therefore there may be a slight variation between the color that appears on your computer screen and the colors generated for your printed products.
After a proof is approved for printing, we will not be responsible for orders where there is a slight variation in the color that appears on the computer screen and the printed product.
Please note:
Different paper stocks produce different tones from exactly the same color of ink: the grade, grain surface, thickness and color of paper used will affect the color of the ink.
*** DISCLAIMER ***
While A la Carte Paperie takes all care to avoid errors, we accept no responsibility for typographical errors, spelling mistakes, or incorrect information on any project committed to print or production. You, The Client to proofread and approve all final copy before the production of artwork. Approval may be given in writing.
No refunds or reprints are given after a final approved design has gone to print due oversights by your proofreading.
YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR APPROVAL OF PROOFS, PROOFREADING, AND ERRORS.
In the event of a need to reprint due to errors in content, the client must inform A la Carte Paperie within 5 days of product acceptance (by proof of postal tracking notification). As with all print projects, payment for re-printed project MUST be prepaid.
The colors of your proofs as they appear on your monitor are only a representation of the final printed piece and may vary slightly.
It is recommended that you have a couple of people read through and check your proofs for spelling and grammatical content. Examine proofs several times over. Make sure you have not omitted anything and also look for odd line breaks, symbol replacements that might be due to computer errors or font glitches. Clearly note any changes and location to the A la Carte Paperie so we can make the changes necessary.
PLEASE NOTE: Orders enter the print production queue after your print approval and full payment.
*** TYPOS AND GRAMMATICAL ERRORS ***
I am not responsible for typos and grammatical errors that you made in your wording. I am copying and pasting your text into the templates AS IS.
There is always a proof sent to you before the file goes into printing; please read it carefully, checking spelling, syntax, colors, etc.
You NEED to approve the proof - by replying "APPROVED by {your name}" or similar, before the printing process starts.
For these reasons, there will be no refund given or free reprint done.
*** PHOTOS ***
By submitting any photos to me, you agree that you are the photographer or have permission in the form of a copyright license from the copyright holder. You also agree to take full responsibility for any misuse of copyrighted images and agree to not hold me liable for any misuse of copyrighted images.
Photos should be submitted to me, via email.
We require high-resolution (300 dpi or higher) .jpg or .png format. A la Carte Paperie is not responsible for images that are supplied incorrectly (low resolution, incorrect color or blurred).
*** ENVELOPES ***
With invitation printing plain white envelopes are complimentary.
We do not offer credit if you don't want them.
*** COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY ***
Each template sold in this shop is copyrighted by A la Carte Paperie and all credit for the designs must be attributed appropriately.
In accordance with standard license prohibitions, you may not resell, redistribute or share these templates in whole or in part for any reason; claim these designs as your own; or sell any design digital or printed on any online store (including but not limited to Etsy, eBay, or general online card stores.
Also, we are not selling or giving away the digital files (entire stationery template or part of it) created for you. We offer a large range of printed products (tote bags, stamps, stickers, posters, pillows, and more - please inquire) where we can use the graphics we created for you.
*** FORCE MAJEURE ***
A la Carte Paperie shall not be liable for any failure or delay in supply or delivery of products/services where such failure or delay is wholly or partly due to any cause or circumstances whatsoever outside the reasonable control of A la Carte Paperie including but not limited to war, strikes, lockouts, industrial disputes or unrest, government restrictions or transport delays, fire, power outages, failure attributable to hosting suppliers, breakdown of plant, theft, vandalism, riots, civil commotions, accidents of any kind or act of terrorism.
*** CLIENT PROFESSIONAL COURTESY ***
A la Carte Paperie takes pride in professional courtesy and manners and hopes our clients do too.
The Client agrees to behave through all communications in a professional, courteous and respectful manner towards designers and staff at A la Carte Paperie. Any actions toward staff or designers at A la Carte Paperie deemed by us as disrespectful, unprofessional, abusive, bullying or verbal/written cruelty on the part of the Client may result in a cancellation of the project and the deposit will serve as a cancellation fee, along with a pro-rata payment based upon the time spent if it exceeds 50% of the quoted work.
Actions that may result in cancellation of the project may include: insulting language, profanity, disrespectful comments, personal insults, swearing, flaming on social media sites, personal insults, threats not to pay for the work for unwarranted reasons, and general lack of respect. Please note: It would be extremely rare for A la Carte Paperie to use this clause, and the client behavior would have to be extreme and affect other areas of our staff and designers' work.
PRIVACY POLICY
This Privacy Policy describes how and when we collect, use, and share information when you purchase an item from us, contact us, or otherwise use our services.
To fulfill your order, you must provide us with certain information, such as your name, email address, postal address, payment information, and the details of the product that you’re ordering. You may also choose to provide us with additional personal information (for a custom order of invitation, for example), if you contact us directly.
Why We Need Your Information and How We Use It
We rely on a number of legal bases to collect, use, and share your information, including:
- as needed to provide our services, such as when we use your information to fulfill your order, to settle disputes, or to provide customer support;
- when you have provided your affirmative consent, which you may revoke at any time, such as by signing up for our mailing list;
- if necessary to comply with a legal obligation or court order or in connection with a legal claim, such as retaining information about your purchases if required by tax law; and
- as necessary for the purpose of our legitimate interests, if those legitimate interests are not overridden by your rights or interests, such as providing and improving our services. We use your information to provide the services you requested and in my legitimate interest to improve our services.
Information Sharing and Disclosure
Information about my customers is important to my business. We share your personal information for very limited reasons and in limited circumstances, as follows:
- Service providers. We engage certain trusted third parties to perform functions and provide services to our shop, such as printing and delivery companies. We will share your personal information with these third parties, but only to the extent necessary to perform these services.
- Business transfers. If we sell or merge my business, we may disclose your information as part of that transaction, only to the extent permitted by law.
- Compliance with laws. We may collect, use, retain, and share your information if we have a good faith belief that it is reasonably necessary to (a) respond to legal process or to government requests; (b) enforce our agreements, terms and policies; (c) prevent, investigate, and address fraud and other illegal activity, security, or technical issues; or (d) protect the rights, property, and safety of our customers, or others.
Data Retention
We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide you with my services and as described in my Privacy Policy. However, we may also be required to retain this information to comply with my legal and regulatory obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce my agreements. We generally keep your data for the following time period: 5 years.
Transfers of Personal Information Outside the EU
We may store and process your information through third-party hosting services in the US and other jurisdictions. As a result, we may transfer your personal information to a jurisdiction with different data protection and government surveillance laws than your jurisdiction. If we are deemed to transfer information about you outside of the EU, we rely on Privacy Shield as the legal basis for the transfer, as Google Cloud is Privacy Shield certified.
Your Rights
If you reside in certain territories, including the EU, you have a number of rights in relation to your personal information. While some of these rights apply generally, certain rights apply only in certain limited cases. we describe these rights below:
Access. You may have the right to access and receive a copy of the personal information we hold about you by contacting me using the contact information below.
Change, restrict, delete. You may also have rights to change, restrict my use of, or delete your personal information. Absent exceptional circumstances (like where we are required to store data for legal reasons) we will generally delete your personal information upon request.
Object. You can object to (i) our processing of some of your information based on my legitimate interests and (ii) receiving marketing messages from us after providing your express consent to receive them. In such cases, we will delete your personal information unless we have compelling and legitimate grounds to continue using that information or if it is needed for legal reasons.
Complain. If you reside in the EU and wish to raise a concern about our use of your information (and without prejudice to any other rights you may have), you have the right to do so with your local data protection authority.
